I did just want to say thank you for everything you and the staff have done for Renee and Joshua these last few years. You have set them up for so much success in the future, and we will always be grateful for that.

All the best!

- Andy

I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for providing Caleb with an absolutely incredible learning environment over the past 7 years. You've given him the freedom to explore and investigate his natural curiosity, the support to challenge himself, the reassurance that he has a caring partner on his learning journey, and you have shaped him into a student who thrives on discovering new information and knowledge. Without your dedication and passion, Caleb wouldn't be where he is today. As a family, we are so lucky that each of you have had such an important part in his life and that your time with him will impact him for the rest of his life. Thank you for your partnership in molding Caleb into a lifelong learner who follows his passions and enjoys tackling challenges!!

Best Wishes

- Melissa and Mark Langley

He will miss you all as well. It is a tough decision for certain. We look forward to Sept. and a new school year. He loves his time at CSMS! We had such trouble finding a good school for him and were thankful for how much he loved yours!

Hello!

I hope you’re well! Christian started his Montessori years in the toddler cottage in 2006 and is heading off to college this year! We have the fondest of memories of those days and wanted to reach out with this milestone update.

Thank you for embracing our son during those precious years and for making his time there so special💕

- Aubrey & Teresa Watkins

I can’t even imagine the number of children you have positively impacted by their attending your wonderful school. I personally can attest to the strong foundation my sons all received by attending your little school so many years ago. It was magic for them and for me. Now so many years later, my sons had to all grow up or as I prefer to think, catch up to me. Patricia, as you can see, Kyle, Patrick, and Sean’s formative years were shaped by all of their experiences in the Red Room, the Blue Room, the Yellow room, etc. Their minds were opened to all there is to learn and they have always been eager to learn more. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you did to make all of our lives better!

- Patti Finlay

We all have fond memories of their time there.

Zachary (1992-1995) went to Georgetown then Jefferson Medical School. He is an Emergency Room doctor in Walnut Creek, CA.

Elizabeth (1993-1996) went to Fordham for her Bachelors and Masters in English and works making the internet accessible to those with disabilities.

Tony (1996-1999) went to Fordham. He works with computers in healthcare.

Love this school…and so do my kids! Decided to check this school out when my sister’s daughter had such a positive experience. So glad we did because we were not happy with our public and private school alternatives. Very impressed with their diversity and inclusiveness and our kids are way ahead academically than their peers in other schools. The Montessori philosophy is so individualized and we love that the teachers we have had are so accessible and responsive. My kids are excited to go to school every day and I love seeing their work both in school and at home. Really love the fact that my kids can go from pre-kindergarten through to elementary and beyond. Though the Covid years have been tough on both students and schools, and this school weathered that really well. Do your homework about Montessori. There are lots of schools that claim to be Montessori, but this school has the true Montessori philosophy intact. Their credentials and background are solid.

Hello,

My name is Krystin Burnette. I was a student at CSMS, I believe, between 1989 and 1991. I was assigned to the "Yellow" room. I was with CSMS until I graduated kindergarten. At the time, elementary grades weren't available and I remember my cohort and I had to transition to public schools.

I'm now 38 years old. Although my time at CSMS was short, I remember "Ms. Pat'' and my time there vividly. I know that my time at CSMS helped shape my life and career. You taught me to be curious, experimental, outspoken, and opinionated and to never stop learning. My mother's name was also Pat, she died last year. In her things, I found handwritten multiplication table books (I can't believe we were doing this in Kindergarten!) and a letter from my teacher, Ms. Maria Cucinotti, written about me that makes me cry every time I read it.

Dated May 24, 1991, she writes, "Krystin always has a smile on her face. She can be a leader and a follower, but most of the time she's a leader." I read this on days where I feel down or defeated to pick me back up.

I am sending you this note because in just a few weeks, I'll be giving birth to my first child - a girl. I live in Germany now and have been working as a business transformation strategist and consultant my entire career. I landed here in Europe when my clients in New York suddenly asked me to join them in Germany permanently in 2019.

Our home will be a Montessori home because of the lasting impression that you and the teachers at CSMS had on me all those years ago. The baby is already on the waitlist for placement in our local Montessori school. I hope that the impact that you had on me shines through in the ways that I raise my daughter. A few of the girls I went to school with as CSMS and I still keep in touch - we all agree, CSMS created a philosophical foundation for our lives.

Thank you, a million times thank you, for all that you do for children and everything you've done for me.

- Krystin

Dear Ms. Pat,

Our time as students (and staff support) in this wonderful place for learning has shaped our learning and growth as adults. Thank you for such a wonderful space and congratulations on 50 Years!

I wanted to offer my heartfelt gratitude for all the amazing learning opportunities I had at CSMS & CSA. I am currently soon to graduate from Princeton University with a Ph.D. in Quantitative & Computational Biology, but it;s dedicated educators such as yourself that deserve the credit. I firmly believe it was my strong foundations at CSMS & CSA that prepared me for middle school, highschool, college, & graduate school. As a young child, CSMS taught me not only math, language arts, science, & social studies, but inspired in me a zest for learning that propelled me throughout my academic career. Thank you for all that you do and I hope that CSMS will continue to educate and to inspire many more children to achieve all that they can be in the years to come!

I still credit a lot of my success to my early years in Montessori (along with my awesome parents and everything else, of course). In fact, I sent my first kiddo to a Montessori school here in SF (she’s now 8), and I’m about to start my second kiddo at the same Montessori school in the fall! I remember the symbols for the parts of speech so vividly, learning cursive, the brightly colored rooms, the swings in the yard, and getting the chance to work on my first computer (the Apple II), setting me on the tech-focused path my life is still taking. Congratulations on building a great thing, and keeping it going for 50 years. I’m sure you’ve influenced so many kids and families, and I hope everyone is able to come celebrate.
